Bio
Perhaps the word "band" doesn't quite apply, at least not in the traditional sense. The Bangkok Bottle Fighters are simply a couple of guys recording original music in a home studio. The effort began in mid 2008 and continues to expand and mature with each new composition. The Fighters are constantly striving to break new musical ground and convey a wide range of human experience in every piece they record. The result is a musical style that spans multiple genres from blues and classic rock to jazz and the avant-garde...occasionally all within a single track.
About
Welcome!
The Bangkok Bottle Fighters is a collaborative effort currently consisting of Cori Cox of Port Huron, MI and Jason Cox of Indianapolis, IN. Cori is a guitarist by training and Jason plays bass, although both regularly dabble with other instruments. The music is the result of myriad influences including John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Al DiMeola, Larry Coryell, Tony Williams, Jimi Hendrix, and John Coltrane. It is almost entirely instrumental and all of it is experimental. We're not in this to satisfy any delusions of commercial success, just to create the kind of music we enjoy.
If you're a musician and would like to work on a project with us, drop us a message from this page and we'll get back to you.
