Nicky Ray is a vocalist, guitarist and sound recording artist who has been playing lead guitar since the age of 14. He has played with musicians who later joined popular groups such
as Lakeside, ConFunkShun, The Masqueraders and O.V. Wright.

He co-founded the group 24/7 The Band in 1995 which has been the opening act for artists K-Ci and Jo-Jo, Slave, The Isley Brothers and many others. Along with his band, he has also made television appearances. In 2008, the band changed their name to the Playa's Choice Band.

Featuring over 11 tracks, "Come Up" includes all originals which crosses the genres of R&B, Zydeco, Soul, Gospel and Old School Funk.
