Conil is buzzing in the UK and US after a stand out show at SXSW 2009. ‘Years Between’ reached Number 3 in the US Alternative Chart and Blues Matters magazine has featured Conil as the main cover story in the last issue.

In the UK the debut album 'Strange Part Of The Country' was critically acclaimed including '4 star Q Recommends' from Q Magazine and radio support and live sessions across BBC Radio 2, 6 Music and XFM. After supporting cult US artist Joseph Arthur last year, this year sees the release of the debut album in the US and UK.

Twice Grammy winning US producer Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel) mixed the album. And folk legend Danny Thompson (Pentangle, Nick Drake) played double bass.
