Live music performed by Combine the Victorious in the Reef Restaurant on Main St
2nd ANNUAL CHANGE OF FREQUENCY CONCERT EVENT THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE 2013 EVENT SUCCESSFUL AND EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME OUT TO PLAY AND VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! WE ARE BACK AGAIN FOR 2014!! In 2013 we raised just over $2000.00 to Canadian Mental Health Association. The 2014 benefit is to bring awareness and raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Mental health now affects 1 out of 5 people. I was also affected by the loss of my husband, a father, musician and a local music producer, Todd Simko, from mental health 2 years ago. It is time to get rid of the stigma that surrounds mental health. If we as people become more open to mental health, treat it as any other disease (which it is), maybe those suffering are more likely to reach out and open up as well. It is time to stop being silent about this. Todd always was passionate about supporting local artists and helping others. This years benefit concert is being held at another favourite venue of Todd's, The Chapel in Vancouver. This years benefit is for 1 night only and it happens to be what would have been Todd's 48th Birthday.

“The local scene had a lot of great bands releasing a lot of good indie stuff, but the one I enjoyed most was Combine the Victorious. It showed a knowledge of the past that it used to go forward.”
