Hi and thanks for checking our band out.

Columbia is a 4 piece rock 'n' roll band from Middlesbrough, NE England. We met whilst playing in separate bands on the local scene around 2004/05, became friends and formed Columbia.  We started to gig immediately playing covers so we could find our feet as a band.

Our band is your traditional guitar - bass - drum outfit.  Influenced by the rock 'n' roll greats from the 60's up to the present day we try to blend our own style to create what we hope is an addictive rock 'n' roll / british sound.  We write each song from a new angle and try to create something different each time whether it be a rocky abbraisive song like "I don't know you" or a melodic up-beat song like "I'll never forget your face".  But you'll have to judge that for yourselves and listen to our stuff.  We are trying to spread our wings and have played many places from the north east to London and even won a battle of the bands competition (whatever that's worth!) .

It's still early days but we're constantly in the process of writing new material, which we'll make available asap. Currently... we're predominantly gigging in the North East of England and can be found doing both original material only gigs and covers + original material gigs, hope to see you at one of the shows!
