Bio
Carlton L. Winston (b. 1990) is a native of Columbus, OH. He currently attends Ohio University in Athens, OH, majoring in both music education and music composition. Carlton’s music education began at the age of 4, where he was taught to play the piano. From there, he was interested in many forms of art, but music was always a part of his life. At the age of 13, he taught himself to play piano again and percussion techniques. Previous to college, Carlton was a percussionist in the Whetstone High School Marching Band and a Euphonium player in the wind ensemble; he has been playing Euphonium for five years now. Now a member of the Ohio University Symphonic Band, Carlton continues to pursue his passion for music and become a better performer. He currently teaches private Euphonium lessons and basic music theory.

Carlton is constantly working on concert band works and researching subjects in order to create a good programmatic work for band.
