For the most part, Cliff Brown Jr. writes, records and performs all of the music on his records. He has worked with many respected and wonderfully talented artists, musicians, bands, friends and all around good people where he resideds now in Austin,TX and across the Country.

Early on, Cliff cut his teeth playing in bands and writing music in the following cities and small towns starting out in the smallest of small towns: Camden, Alabama, where he learned early on that he wanted to play music. He spent Summers working in Gulf Shores and playing his guitar at the beach for friends or for anyone who would listen. When it was time for highschool Cliff moved to Mobile Alabama where he his new public school class size was 500 people. He tried playing sports, but once again knew that music was his calling and so he started his first band, The Echoing Green that played house parties, bars and Fraternity Parties.

His college years found him in Tuscaloosa Alabama where he was started two very successful bands: The Cunning Runts and The Frydaddys, After finishing college and hanging around Tuscaloosa for a year traveling, recording and playing shows, he moved The Frydaddys along with co-hort, Troy Hicks to the musical hot-bed of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Once there they rented a house in the country with their own studio and out of that grew the psychedelic outfit Ovosnave.

After a chance meeting with Andy Herod (Comas, Electric Owls) they quicly formed The Omegans, a power pop tri in the vien of XTC and Cheap Trick. They shared bills with Jennyanykind and soon enough Michael Holland asked Cliff to join up. He played on “Big John’s,”Money Can’t Buy Mojo,” as well as toured the country. It was after one of these tours, Cliff moved to Austin Texas where he has lived playing solo shows and South by Southwest Festivals, along with Athens v Sparta and King Tears for the past 10 years.
