Bio
I'm a self taught, American, multi-instrumentalist. Mainly, I'm a song writer who creates instrumentals as well. I've been writing and recording music for 15 years. I write and record at home with the technical help of Logic Pro, Apogee and Mac Book Pro.
I've had the pleasure to work with the following bands and artists: King Tears - Sunset - Milton Mapes - Jennyanykind - Michael Holland, The Frydaddys, F4Fake, The Summer Wardrobe, The Cunning Runts, The Last Band NYC, Athens v Sparta and more.
About
I am me. If there is anything you'd like to know or learn about me, please take a listen to my music as it is the best measure of who I am and what I reflect on internally. Everything I write comes from the soul and basically just pours out of me. I have had the pleasure of working with some wonderfully talented and creative individals in this life of mine and I hope to continue doing so.
I have played SXW two years in a row. I have played CMJ in 2002 and for some reason I've had no luck getting back into the festival there. I am about to start recording a new album full of some of the best work I have written yet.
I'm playing bass and singing with one of the most exciting groups I've ever been involved in: Athens v Sparta. Please check us out at reverbnation/athensvsparta or athensvsparta.com. We play universities across the country and we're looking to take it on out to Europe. Basically We write a musical drama based upon the novel by Thucydides "History of the Peloponnesian War" and I have to say I still get the chill bumps playing the music and being part of the action. Ken Webster, the director of the Hyde Park Theater is the narrator and we set the mood with music and lyrics written about the war between the Athenians and the Spartans.
I'm very excited about my new material coming out soon and I look forward to playing some of it at SXSW 2010 if I am admitted to the festival.
A lot of people ask me, "What happened to King Tears?" and all I can tell you is that we are still trying to put out some more music, it's just taking a little longer than expected because of obligations that Mr. Hess has to live up to at The Coldtowne Theater and the many bands he plays in.
I'm ready for whatever comes my way and I hope to see you at SXSW 2010 this year.
