Bio
I began playing guitar at fifteen. My first band was a garage band in 80's metal called "Necromancer". after that I moved to South Florida where I began to get interested in trying to make money at this thing. From the age of 17 until 24 I played in various groups and solo incarnations. My last and most known was in Delray beach Florida called the "Outlaw Troubadours". We started as a couple of guys sharing an open mic at a small cafe'. by the fall of '95 we had changed from three acoustic guitars to a six piece rock band. that was quite a ride in three months time. I am now finally getting back to music after a long break. I am re-recording some of my work from an earlier demo and some new stuff as well.
About
Chuck got his first guitar when he was ten years old. This sat in the corner collecting dust for several years. He had taken a guitar class in the fifth grade but had no drive to it. When he was thirteen he got a les Paul look alike. And like the song says ”from there it didn’t take him long”. He has been in more bands than Eric Clapton or at least as many; however none as famous.
He started writing music in the summer of 1984. Though his style was rough it had a heart that many saw as being true. These songs are all but forgotten today. His nomadic life style was one that would cost him some of his best work. Sporadically writing down songs and only remembering the ones he enjoyed playing chuck is a true artist. His songs range in style from folk to quasi punk.
After moving to south Florida his career would go on hold for a few more years. Then out of nowhere he found a man that would help to shape him musically. He taught chuck about stage presence and set lists. Things he had never bothered with before. It was this influence that would hone chucks talent . He would put these skills to work in many of his bands.
Finally he has produced his first demo cd. ”Downtown” is the culmination of a life long love of music poetry and life. The songs have been written over two decades and touch on some interesting themes. The technology has finally got to the point he can use it to aid himself in his expression. All parts written by him using midi sequencing to produce an eclectic mix of sound and emotion to his artistic expression of his life’s work to date. From the fear of nuclear war; to the separation felt about the home he once had. His music touches a place deep with in himself.
