Chuck Courtenay was born in Savannah, Georgia. He spent his early childhood years living on a cattle ranch in Lake Wales, Florida. This is where Courtenay first learned of Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and Vern Gosdin, and these would be the influences that inspired him to follow in their footsteps.

He is currently recording his first CD entitled, "Different Man," set to release on July 16, 2010.
