"I've never seen anyone put together a song as fast."
- Nicky Hopkins, top session Rock pianist.(after coauthoring as song with Quinn in a hotel lobby)
"So you think you're good enough to get on stage with me?"
- James Brown, Godfather of Soul
"Yes."
- Christopher Quinn, the Great Unknown
(James dug Quinn and invited him to eat, hang out with James' band and, as long as he wore a suit, attend gigs free. At a beauty pageant gig, James pointed the mic at Quinn in the audience; and Quinn was so loud and so good, the crowd loved it and, those closest to the wall where Quinn was standing, mobbed him. James gave Quinn his private number and address and gave him a standing invitation.)

Christopher Quinn's Surrealistic Bio:
Christopher Quinn (born "Boy Talamantes", a "half-breed" adopted at age 7 by a big Irish cop named Frank, who died a year later) has been both greatly blessed and cursed.
A Red King dreaming universal realities, he has always been blessed with superior creative, analytical and physical abilities, singing voice, and love; but, so far, he also has been equally cursed - a magnet for lesser parasitical entities with hidden agendas, contacts/capital, and petty schemes, a life replete with accidents/ills and arbitrary barriers. So, like Alice with the Red Queen, "it (took) all the running (he) could do just to stay in the same place."
Happily, as the curse's inertia lifts and dissipates, the undying blessing is increasingly liberated to move omni-directionally, exponentially out to limitless horizons... but as his body ages, the products of this emerging freedom become harder to capitalize, to realize and market.
Now, not unlike Alice, he finds himself in a looking-glass land of dueling illusions and circuitous logic trying to convince those living in the Red King's dream that he is "real."
That said, all anyone will ever really know about cHrIsToPhEr QuInN as a person and a creative artist will live on in his children, his creative works, his songs, and recorded vocal performances - via mp3 and then cd. -- W.P.
