For Calgary, Alberta’s Chris LeBlanc the new year of 2009 couldn’t be off to a better start with the release of his crowd favorite and powerful single “And Then Some” to radio this January. Recently nominated for “Country Recording of the Year” by the 2009 East Coast Music Awards for his debut album “Too Much Nothin’” This Shediac, New Brunswick native’s career is shifting gears and showing no signs of slowing down.
The momentum that has started off 2009 is building on the success and hard work of 2008. A year that saw the release of Chris’s debut Album “Too Much Nothin’”, a lot of touring and playing around Alberta and New Brunswick, and Chris being crowned the winner of the Lamlee’s/Country 105 Rising Star contest.
Chris’s path in music was said to be a natural progression by some. Following in the musical footsteps of his late father, Chris began playing at an early age in various bands, but when the time came to get serious Chris moved to Nashville to work on his songwriting and gather the material that would become his debut album “Too Much Nothin’”
