Bio
Chris Brockbank is a singer, songwriter, guitarist living and based in Sydney, Australia. Chris has played in various parts of the world including UK and Europe.
Chris' brand of high energy rock and blues conjures up all those classic rock images.
About
There has been comparisons with Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin over many years but the real influence is actually Bach ( as in Johann Sebastian ).
Classical composers Wagner, Brahms, Beethoven and Mozart of course. A musician could spend a lifetime just exloring and mastering just one of the four.
As for rock, it was Cream, The Who and Jimi Hendrix that lit that fire for music. Beck Bogert and Appice had some great 3 piece stuff to learn from too. No claim to be a real traditional blues player.
Have always worked with a keys player, currently Jeff Morris. So the mix of classical and hard rock influences are always there.
As for drummers, Ian Paice, Carmine Appice, Mitch Mitchell, Simon Kirke and John Bonham.
Have played and jammed with so many people.. all of them kinda rub off.
Would like to thank people for the emails and contacts.
Every friend is an influence really ... and that's how it should be..
It's all about the music ...

When it sounds good I keep the take.
Live it's about tricks , energy and showmanship.
Comparisons have been made .. but hopefully my own style is in there somewhere.

Circles Album Released
Guitarist, singer-songwriter Chris Brockbank is proud to announce that MGM Distribution and PTM Entertainment released his powerful 14 track album “Circles” on November 3.
“Circles” is a journey through an eclectic work of Classic Rock and Blues with a strong classical influence, with lyrics of power and soul. After pre-leasing some sample tracks to the world we have heard the comparisons from Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Blackwater and Gary Moore. “Blazing, powerful bluesy feel, great guitar, the good ol’ days and passion” is what we are hearing. We keep hearing the word “powerful” because that is exactly what it is!
