Cher Andt is a lyricist, songwriter, vocalist and a poet. She has been writing lyrics since she was 9 years old, her songs at that period of time are mainly about everyday life. The first reason why she wrote her first song was because she was tired of listening to the songs on the tv and radio and she wanted to have songs about her life and something that she could connect to.

As she got older and found her rebellious side, she became familiar with Rock music and found love. She joined her school band when she was only 11 years old, the youngest and the only female to be in the band. She met a lot of interesting people and she had opportunities to be a vocalist on a lot of local bands. While she was singing her own songs, she also covered songs from No Doubt, The Cranberries, Rage Against the Machine, and Radiohead. Her last band called The Talkshow Heroes, formed the band with her college friends in Amsterdam who come from Mexico, Germany and Indonesia. She admits she still misses those days when she was still in a band.

She has written many songs about love, hopes and failures, things that she sees or experienced, and sometimes things that she creates in her own mind through someone else's eyes. She is known by her style to write a very straight to the point, knife-edge language with a cynical touch,  dark and depressing lyrics and poetry. Although she never denies it, but she always wants people who sees her artwork as a whole form and find details in it, and they will find and understand there is a bit of hope and happiness in her depressing lyrics and poetry.

She recently made a musical collaboration with Drew Master Jay, although they have a different taste in music, this will only add to their advantage of adding uniqueness to their music.

She continues to write songs and lyrics almost everyday, and if you see her smiling alone, that's because in her world, everyone's singing a song and her world is a musical film.
