Ask Charlie Harrison anything...
Q: HI Charlie, I'm shopping for an acoustic / electric guitar. What do you suggest? Great sound, low cost. Thanks
A: First, I would suggest picking a few models you are interested in and then keeping your eyes peeled on Craigslist/Ebay. If you can live with a couple scratches then you will get a much better deal than if you buy new. As far as value, I think that one of the best values out there for an Acoustic Electric is Seagull Guitars. My main guitar is a 2002 Taylor 410, but I picked up a Seagull Parlor guitar that I love to play around the house. Also, I once played a gig with a guy whose S6 Q1 played as nice as any guitar I have ever played. I like their Cedar tops, but they offer other options too. I think you could find an S6 Q1 for under $300 on Ebay. Good luck and have fun!
