“It took this LA band about two years to release yet another hilarious CD. With a tinge of surreal seriousness it is called "Fat Accompli" and you will not be disappointed. Band vet Robbie Rist is doing back up vocals with the one and only M.T. Skull. M.T. has a great voice, plays a mean guitar while the rest of the band has their chops down. It seems that Dred Scott the bassist and M.T. write the vast majority of the material on the CD. Their first CD "Eastern Bloc Party" included their now hit "Worst President Ever" which was a real hoot. With some very observant rants like "more mediocre than Millard Fillmore and less insightful than Franklin Pierce" one can't go wrong. Of course "more corrupt that Ricchard Nixon and a bigger wimp than his dad" is what put a huge smile on both Jello Biafra and Jayne County's face. On this CD tunes that caught my ear include "Neighbors" , "Brain Drain", Lab Rat", "Big Man." In fact I like all the tracks. (NOTE: WHEN WE WERE NAMED FINLAND STATION)”
Ask Charlie Don't Surf anything...
Q: When are you playing in March? When and where, I am in NoCal now, and will not be back down there until the first week of March.
A: We're tentatively playing on March 9 (Sunday) at Dipiazza's in Long Beach @6 pm. It's part of a music variety show. Thanks for asking!
