Bio
Chadio started rapping at age 14 in highschool freestyling with
friends and call-in radio shows. In 2004 he co-founded the label/crew
Imaginations Treetrunk and to date they have released 9 albums on their
independantly run, Vancouver-based label. In 2007 Chadio released his
debut solo album with producer Aalo Guha, titled "Underestimated Raindrops"
which got major college radio play in several markets throughout Canada,
topping out at #1 in Quebec as well as Ontario, and even gaining an
appearance on Earshot's Hip Hop top 10 in Exclaim magazine (Mar/Apr '08).
About
Ever heard the expression “Good things come in small packages”? There could not be a truer statement to describe Vancouver, BC native, Chadio. The 20-something lyrical powerhouse has been making for himself and his crew, Imaginations Treetrunk all across Canada for the past 5 years playing shows, releasing albums and compilation projects. In 2007, Chadio released his first solo album “Underestimated Raindrops” (a collaborative album with Treetrunk space-age producer, Aalo Guha) as well as his most notable group release to date, “This Dance Dance Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, a genre-defying, musical supergroup with a raw energetic chemistry similar to M.O.P.
Chadio’s vocal and stage presence are absolutely two forces to be reckoned with. From beginning to end is a refreshing, modern showcase of the next level. Different delivery to suit any mood and enticing enough to entertain even the most fickle hip-hop aficionado, one thing that can not be denied is what he brings to the table style-wise. Style should always be developing, expanding, growing, and then perfected; Chadio is a prime example of this, and continues to integrate a multitude of skill into his already original take on the hip-hop, glitch-hop and dubstep music.
