Q: Thank you for listening! Whats the music scene like in Indianapolis?

A: Better than it was 20 years ago, but still limited for a city this size. Regional acts can make a decent living due to the proximity of Chicago, Cincinnati, and St. Louis. My solo act now are just piano bars and other tip jar gigs doing covers of Elton John, Harry Chapin, and Gordon Lightfoot. Still, you can remain gainfully employed if Brick House, Play That Funky Music, and Magic Carpet Ride are in your set list. :)
