“Edgar Romney, the secretary treasurer of Workers United, served as master of ceremonies for the event while young people like Caryn Sever led the crowd in a singalong of Ralph Chapin's pro-union song, "Solidarity Forever." Students from Eugene Lang College at the New School for Liberal Arts performed a number from their musical "From the Fire," based on the Triangle incident. The attendees responded to both performances with raucous applause.”
