With performers from all over the country, the infamous Carousel Cabaret is not your typical costume and dance troupe.  With elements of Comedy, Vaudeville, Ballet, Modern, even Hip Hop, this Austin Tx based troupe can most easily be defined as Burlesque.  These top shelf temptresses are trained to titillate till your trembling with desire!  With intricate group choreography, laugh till it hurts story lines, and seductive solos throughout, the show has entertained audiences of all backgrounds and ages (a family friendly "Boston Version" of the show is also available).

 

Founded at the end of 2005 by their principal choreographer (namely Lady Bangs), the "Sillie Fillies" of the Carousel Cabaret have performed in theaters, night clubs, bars, pubs, even built stages in back yards, living rooms, and on the street at public festivals.  With a variety of portable sets and stages, a vast collection of costumes, and Austin's top musicians, the show is ready for virtually any venue.

 

The performers have numerous sideshow talents as well.  Alternative gymnastics, intricate magic, sensual singing, death defying juggling, acro-balancing, even fire spinning has graced the stage.  An audience might even participate in our interactive game-show, "What's Up My Skirt".

 

The Carousel Cabaret's routines have been presented all over Austin at venues such as Antone's, Stubbs, the Saxon Pub, Momo's, the Parish, and the Enchanted Forrest Halloween Spectacle, as well as theaters in Fort Worth, San Antonio, and New Orleans.  In 2007, opening night of the first annual Texas Burlesque Festival, the Carousel Cabaret was honored to be invited to perform during the official competition as "Audience Choice: Best In Show" where they performed alongside Texas's most prominent burlesque troupes.

 

With a rotating cast of announcers and musicians, the Carousel Cabaret is sure to please any, all and otherwise.  Their talents bow only to their glamour, style, and love of the stage.

 

Of the performers, Lady Bangs holds an unstoppable amount of stage presence.  She meticulously arranges the majority of the group's beautiful choreography (which usually ends in a much smaller costume than the start!).  While the shows are a collaborative effort, she is undoubtedly at the helm, perfecting her vision, be that by organizing the dances or painting the backdrops by hand.   With a lifetime of dance training and a great resume of live theater ranging from comedy to tragedy, Lady owns an audience at her first grimace.  She's one sassy character as well.  full of vibrant (and ridiculous) facial expressions, she truly is the voice of the illustrious Carousel Cabaret. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miss Abbey Rose has been involved with theater for nearly a decade.  With the Carousel Cabaret, she is committed to claiming her rightful place in the spotlight.  A singer and dancer who's scantily clad, this is one preacher's daughter who skipped the farm and found the perfect avenue for arousal! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And of course, Cherry Pop takes the stage by force with her fun loving free spirit, and jaw dropping ability and charisma.  She's the funky fillie, with solo's that leave an audience breathless, either from cheering for more or panting into a frenzy.  But don't cross this kitten, she's got claws! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also featuring Laya LaMoan, whose flirtation is second only to her dance prowess.  She recently earned a Bachelors Degree in Dance, perfecting her craft since childhood.  But she's a woman now, and she's sure to prove it nightly with the Carousel Cabaret.  This mesmerizing damsel will show you what Webster meant by the word "bounce"!
