Caroline Mamoulides is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist from Raleigh, NC. With strong vocals and a passion for melody her songwriting brings truth and beauty with a touch of sorrow to the light of day. She released her first CD Potential in 2012. Stephen Howell has made a name for himself as a founding member of Raleigh, NC’s honky tonk heroes The Backsliders. He has released 5 CDs with The Backsliders and played his songs all over the country. Together Caroline and Stephen emphasize harmony vocals and a two acoustic guitar sound that is sure the pull at the heartstrings, but still keep your toes tapping. The Scotty Miller Trio plays the songs of guitarist and vocalist Scotty Miller (formerly of 6 String Drag, Erin Nenni Band and many others). He is joined by Joe Knowlton (Dish, Erin Nenni Band) on bass and Trent Grey (Dune Dogs, Erin Nenni Band) on drums. The songs span Miller’s 30+ year career as a musician and songwriter. The music is swampy, twangy rock n’ roll with elements of 60’s soul and country, featuring lots of guitar and slide. Expect a roots-rock show featuring groove and musicianship. Inspiring double bill with Caroline and Stephen kicking it off at 8pm.
