CARL ROSEN was born in Seaford, NY August 6, 1959. At the young age of 3, Carl began to play the piano, and by age 7 was known at his elementary school as "the piano kid." Totally self-taught playing strictly by ear, Carl began to play songs that he'd heard on radio and television. In 1969, Carl and his family moved to Charlotte, NC where he joined the 6th grade chorus, performing his first solo at age 11.
