A fun, inspiring concert with an awesome band, celebrating the release of Carey's new CD, "Small Braveries" on the Azalea City Recordings label, and at the same time raising funds for Bright Beginnings, a pre-school program for homeless children in D.C., and the local Interfaith Power & Light, which works w/congregations of all faiths to save energy, go green, and respond to climate change. The concert is sponsored by the Institute of Musical Traditions, which helps keep the D.C. area traditional and contemporary acoustic music scene thriving. Inexpensive snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available; the Community Center has plenty of parking and is accessible to people with disabilities.
