y My name is Calix king (pronounced CAL-IX) and i'm 21 years old.
I grew up on the West coast, all around California
I Write, Record And Produce Hip Hop Music.
I've been doing music all my life growing up to the sounds of
The Kottonmouth Kings, 311, Ice Cube, And Many More
My music preference varies in all different directions
it all started when i picked up the guitar 13 years ago
i enjoyed making music that was mine, especially with friends
But in 2000, there was a split in creativity,
my band members wanted to play hardcore music
and i was more about music you can enjoy and understand
So through the influence of a group known as
the kottonmouth kings
i put down the guitar and taught my self how to make beats
Over the years the beats got better and better
So in 2002 i decided to become a full time producer
and started my own production company
Cali Kings Productions
i would produce a wide variety of artist through the years,
but soon i started to see how truly fake some people can be
So instead of producing other people
in 2003 i started writing my own songs
and from then on, i've been producing my self and my self only.
A lot of people out there have a similar story, but what makes me different from everyone else is that i didn't just wake up one day and say "i think i can rap" i had to build up my knowledge of the industry.
So from 2004 to 2007 I did various jobs in music, from stage hand, to touring with bay area artist, and even radio work. I visited many studio's through out California watching and learning everything i could. From Hollywood, to San Fransico i've stayed everywhere in cali and for 3 monthes i even moved to Arizona to see what the music scene there was like, Only after 4 monthes in arizona i came back home to cali to put the finishing touches on my debut album "Reps 4 My Crown" which is a metaphor that simply means that i know i have to earn my respect from the fans.
Another big important thing about me and music that's no secret is that i live a certain lifestyleand many people out there may not understand exactly what i mean. I feel people should life how they want, without judgment. Which is why i represent the symbol of the spade. It stands for "SRH" Supporting Radical Habits, to everyone who lives by it, its more than a logo, its a way to express and show how we live. I Enjoy drinking alcohol and smoking, and sometimes it even helps with the music, so i never hide the fact that I DO SUPPORT RADICAL HABITS, If you don't like marijuana or alcohol then you might not get my music, cause not only do i write about that sometimes, I write about the stress and problems all the bad habits can bring us, I Also Have Respect for all women out there, unlike 80% of music artist today, its a sad thing.
I'm also in no way gang affiliated at all,
I smoke, i drink and make music.

I'll rep and live by the spade until i die, and everyone that writes me supporting my music, I THANK YOU the only reason i've been going strong for the past 8 years is because of all my down ass fans. My goal in my music career is to constantly tour, or to get on a tour and open for anyone, but no one will give me that chance, so i have to go out and take that shit on my own, its because of all these damn no good "over night" rappers who think they can be the next big thing over night and they have to respect for the music itself,
I don't want to be signed to a record label, i don't wont to be on the radio, all i want to do is tour, and in the summer of 2008 i will be going out on my own to complete my goal, HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL MY SHOWS DOWN IN SO CAL MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT, THANKS FOR STOPPING BY MY PAGE
