He was named the 11th greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone in 2011 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a member of the Fab Four in 1988 and as a solo artist in 2004. This tribute concert will feature a selection of performers from the greater Washington, DC area including vocal powerhouse and one-woman band Margot MacDonald, eccentric master guitarist, mandolinist, and harp player Mike Clem, and Beach Boys cover artist Cal Everett. Other performers include folk/pop group Naked Blue, who has been described as “flawless, lilting, [and] soulful” (Pop Culture Press), Nate Ihara, a bassist/songwriter who’s toured with everyone from Outkast to Maroon 5, and singer/songwriter Todd Wright, who first rose to fame with his band GetawayCar.
