The People's Temple
w/ Someday Rumble

10 p.m.

About The People's Temple:
Since 2007 The Peoples Temple, a Michigan rock‘n’roll band, has consistently released acclaimed LPs and 7-inches on a number of indie labels, including a single on Jack White’s Third Man Records. The four piece outfit, made up of two sets of brothers, is currently touring in support of its new album “Musical Garden,” the band’s third full-length on HoZac Records. The LP/CD is a collection of random tracks recorded over the previous year and a half.
Here’s what Pitchfork said about the new “Musical Garden” LP:
“Those Lansing boys in the People's Temple have become a reliable staple in the garage-pop landscape. On their third album, they're still ripping and stomping as well they were on ‘Sons of Stone’ and ‘More for the Masses’ … Their finest work comes on “I Don't Mind,” where they let their vocals echo and ring with minimal backing—just the ethereal, distant sound of what might be a tape machine. Of course, they're also ready to turn up the power, which they do exceedingly well on the appropriately titled “Fast Thrills.” Thus far, they’re three for three and show no signs of letting up.” - Evan Minsker.

About Someday Rumble:
While playing guitar in the Post-Hardcore band Pale Fire Jon Dwyer found inspiration to write early 2013. After months of fighting depression and his responsiblities to a band he was growing away from, Jon eventually needed to let go. In early 2013, Pale Fire peacefully unravelled and ended.
Though it was not easy, Jon began to nurture his passion to write and his ability to sing.  During the summer of 2013 the old bassest from Pale Fire, Andy Decker, picked up drums and the two piece Someday Rumble slowly took form.  After months of writing, pedal collecting, practicing, and knob turning, Someday Rumble hit the ground running January 2014.
Soon after releasing their first recording, the Basement ep, in December 2013 Jon and Andy were apporched by Wet Bandit Studio.  Recording engineers Ben Mercer and Matt Gaylord helped the band record/mix/promote their newest ep: "Dark_Old_War." Now the band is in full swing playing shows across NC and setting up a summer tour in the North East.

The Broadcast
w/ Bafoodus

10 p.m.
About The Broadcast:

The Broadcast is hard-edged, soulful rock music bursting-at-the-seams. Drawing much of their ambience from 70′s classic rock, they’re a band with an explosive female lead singer, riffing guitar, mood-altering keys and a rock-solid rhythm section. A dynamic ensemble known for their powerful live performances, The Broadcast continues to break new ground across the country with vocal powerhouse Caitlin Krisko leading every step of the way. Described by audiences as a modern day “Grace Slick meets Led Zeppelin”, The Broadcast’s infectious energy and authentic approach to rock & roll music has propelled them into the live music community spotlight.

About Bafoodus:
Hailing from Boone, Bafoodus has been called "an unstoppable rock machine, intent on getting the party started!". With an eclectic mix of creepy funk, straight-up rock and aggressive jazz/pop fusion, there is something for everyone.
