Hey folks,

It may be the sleepy summer time in the High Country, but Boone Saloon is still ready to rock your face off this weekend with two consecutive nights of killer live tunes.

On Friday, June 7, the Saloon will once again welcome the Mike Dillon Band!!! Led by the band's namesake, this smoking quartet smashes together funk, punk, jazz, hip-hop, hard rock and more into a seriously rowdy musical gumbo. Asheville's super funky Get Right Band opens. Check out the Mountain Times article on MDB HERE!

On Saturday, June 8, it's a family affair as we welcome two bands featuring Saloon employees: Boone's very own punk institution The Karloffs, along with fast-rising junkyard rock foursome Them Teasters. Read on...

Friday, June 7

The Mike Dillon Band

w/ The Get Right Band

10 p.m., $7

About The Mike Dillon Band:

The Mike Dillon Band released their debut Record "Urn" on Royal Potato Family in September of 2012. Since then, the band has been living in a van, touring and peforming with acts including Fishbone, Umphery's MCGee, Marco Benevento and more. Mike has been destroying percussion and touring since 1989 with everyone from Les Claypool, Galactic, Garage A Tois, The Dead Kenny Gs and Critters Buggin', among others. This band also features the powerful Carly Meyers on trombone. Additionaly, the band has flat out destroyed the Boone Saloon during their last two trips to the High Country.

Saturday, June 8

The Karloffs

w/ Them Teasters

10 p.m., $5

About The Karloffs:

The Karloffs have been playing punk rock in the High Country, like...forever. And they still kick ass. Any questions?

About Them Teasters:

"Them Teasters are an explosive Junkyard Rock band inspired by late 50s, early 60s rock and roll! We're playin some real honest to goodness gut wrenching rock that's gonna make you twitch like rabid pole cat on a hot tin tire covered roof! Influences range from Connie Francis, The King, and the Beatles to the Ramones and the Misfits. Buried just under the surface of their firecracker live show is a slightly dark, kitschy sensibility that informs their music and stage presence. Most importantly, an undeniably true-band mentality and work ethic is in effect that will send you on a musical joyride filled with suspension shaking guitar riffs, spine tingling stories, heart-felt harmonies!"

That's it for this week boys and girls. Tune in next week for the latest and greatest in Boone Saloon live music action. Wev'e got tons of good shows this summer, so yeah...we'll see y'all at the bar!

Thanks for supporting live local music!!
