Chaplin's Spotlight

The Big Jangle - January 25 - Oh, my my, oh hell yes!! Put on that party dress- its the music of Tom Petty!! The Big Jangle are a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute Band from the Philadelphia area performing songs from all stages of Petty's career. From the early days of Mudcrutch through his most recent album of original material, solo or with The Traveling Wilbury's. If you love Tom Petty, come on out for one last dance with Mary Jane!!

RUST - January 26 - Come hear the legendary songwriting talents of NEIL YOUNG as played by RUST!! RUST is a group of experienced musicians with great depth in performing over the years since the late 60's. Their passion for the music of Neil Young is clear as they create a memorable experience - close to going to a Neil Young concert. RUST recreates the unique acoustic and electric sound of Neil Young, with vocals that are very close to Neil's own voice. They take you from Neil's early work in the 60's through his current releases.

Mary Fahl (former lead singer of October Project)
Tickets: $25 advance, $28 at the door
“Sounding like no other singer of her generation” (Allmusic.com), Mary Fahl is an expressive, emotional singer/songwriter who first achieved fame as lead singer and co-founder of the mid-90’s chamber-pop group October Project. Fahl’s elegant, cinematic songs draw on classical and world music sources, American art song, as well as thinking man’s folk-pop. She sings in an earthy, viscerally powerful contralto that Boston Globe critic Steve Morse calls "a voice for the gods that can transport listeners to other realms”. Since her "October Project" days, Fahl has recorded solo albums for Sony Classical and V2 Records. She has written and performed songs for several major motion pictures, including the lead song (“Going Home”) for the Warner Bros. Civil War epic “Gods and Generals”. In this solo performance, she will perform a number of those songs, several new works, as well as an October Project song or two.
