Palladia presents ‘Outdoor Week’ about incredible outdoor concerts
and festivals from around the globe. Viewing parties will highlight the 2012 Hangout
Festival, taped live from Gulf Shores, AL. It will feature special performances
by Dave Matthews Band, Wilco, Alabama Shakes, Dispatch, Gary Clark Jr., Dawes,
The Flaming Lips, Coheed & Cambria, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.
Each episode offers a front
row seat to what Pollstar named ‘The Best Festival of The Year’. In
honor of our 3rd Annual Music Festival The Hangout is offering $3 Burgers,
$3 Bud Light and Hangout Lager Draft Beer, $3 Malibu Red, and $3 Chips & Salsa
all day long for those who come in Music Festival gear or bring a prior ticket/wristband.

Festival Kickoff Party, Business Afterhours, and Locals Beach Party on September
With cooler weather around the corner, The Hangout continues to heat things
up with The Tip Tops live in concert September 20th.
The nationally acclaimed Shrimp
Festival is right around the corner and there is no better way to celebrate than
with the Tip Tops. As a thank you to Pleasure Island locals The Hangout presents
a night of great music and dancing with the Tip Tops. Admission is free and open
to all ages; show time is 6:30pm.
There will be reserved areas for Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce members
for Business After Hours and invited guests for the Shrimp Festival Kickoff Party.
Everyone is welcome to attend this grand event!
Tip Tops are a high-energy dance and show band based out of Mobile, AL. Their musical
emphasis is “60′s”, “Motown” and “Rhythm &
Blues.” The 4 Tops, Otis Redding, The Temptations and Marvin Gaye are just
a sample of the artists The Tip Tops cover. Mix in some “50′s”
from Elvis and Sam Cooke and some “80′s” from Kool and The Gang
and The Commodores and you have three decades of musical history.
sensuous, and glittering are just a few words to describe “The Toppettes”
which is a show in itself. These young ladies have mesmerized audiences throughout
the southeast. The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and The Pointer
Sisters are just a few of the artists “The Toppettes” bring to your
venue. The high-energy, fast-stepping brass section (The Dancing Horns) make The
Tip Tops a total entertainment package. Five part harmony, choreography, and costume
changes will ensure your audience of a most enjoyable evening.
The Hangout Restaurant in Gulf Shores, Ala. will host its 5th Annual
Gulf Coast Oyster Cook-Off on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012. The official start time for
the event is 11 a.m. with teams on-site by 9 a.m. and ready to serve at 10 a.m.
The Cook-Off is a celebration
of the preparation of fresh Gulf oysters. For an entry fee, chefs, restaurants
and the public can compete for a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash and prizes.
Categories include Rockafeller, Cajun and create your own raw oyster dish. Oyster
dishes will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges on a point system based on
presentation (15 possible points), flavor (50 possible points) and creativity (35
possible points). Entry fee prior to September 28, 2012 is $250 and $300 after
