Live at Pierogi Fest 2012

Harmonia performs live this Saturday night at Pierogi Fest 2012 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in North Royalton, Ohio (about 30 minutes from downtown Cleveland).  The group featuring the golden voice of Beata Begeniova and cimbalom wizard, Alexander Fedoriouk will perform from 7 - 11 PM. Special guest  Zenon Chaikovsky will also be performing with the group on vocals and percussion.  The program will include traditional Ukrainian folk music from the Carpathians as well as Ukrainian popular music and other East European favorites.   Admission and parking are free. Harmonia's new CD, "Hidden Legacy", on Folk Sounds Records will be available at the festival.   Come join the fun this Saturday night!


About Pierogi Fest 2012:

The festival will feature delicious Ukrainian food  - pierogi and much more - Ukrainian beer, a live concert on Saturday from 5 - 6:30 PM, live entertainment by HARMONIA  on Saturday from 7 - 11 PM, Kids activities and much more... The event starts right after the Ukrainian Village Parade of 2012 being held in Parma, OH...It's a short drive down south from the heart of the Ukrainian Village to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Church at 9672 State Rd, North Royalton, OH 44133. 

Ukrainan Village Parade:

Make a day of it and come the to the Ukrainian parade which  step off at 11 a.m. Saturday August 25th at Grantwood Drive in Parma and heads north on State Road to the Ukrainian Heritage Park, across the street from St. Josaphat Ukrainian Cathedral, 5720 State Road. Theevent is In celebration of Ukrainian Independence Day, there will be live music, dance and a flag-raising ceremony. HARMONIA performs from 1 - 6 PM at the 57th annual Hungarian Scout Festival on Sunday, September 2, 2012.  The festival begins at 11 a.m. at the German Central Park, located at 7863 York Road, Parma.

There will be a flag-raising at 11:30 a.m., followed by Catholic and Protestant services in Hungarian.

Kitchens open at 1 p.m., serving Hungarian fare -- stuffed cabbage, goulash, sausage, chicken paprikas and dumplings.The event, which runs until 11 p.m., features live music, dancing, soccer matches, kids' games, a book fair and a performance by the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble.

Proceeds of the festival, sponsored by the American Hungarian Friends of Scouting, support nearly 300 Hungarian scouts in the Cleveland area.For more information go to or call Mike Horvath at 440-582-1233.
