NEXT SHOW will be published on or about February 17 and will be available

you can always find it within the FeedPlayer's archive of older shows. Owing
to schedule demands, I usually publish on Wednesdays or as soon as

THE LATEST: I've cut back on a lot of music industry business in the last 2 weeks
to address the home front and the finances. The only real work I've done is on this
radio program. I am projecting to work with several upcoming events in the next
month but little things like paying the rent and such are taking precendence.
This podcast doesn't earn me a profit, much less a penny. Until I built the PayPal
button on my website, I wasn't earning much from the show at all. I received a handful
of donations, enough to maybe keep me afloat, but next month looks very shaky. There
is the risk of homelessness for me, and for this program. Yes, I'm in the job market.
Yes, it's very competitive. I remain hopeful. In fact, this week there is talk
of landing something long-term with a company through an agency. We'll see. Keep
watch in my social media links for the latest. If and when I start working again,
I'll return to doing camera/video and reviews at events.
As for donations, you may
click the button on the home tab or the top part of the front page for the Paypal
button. This program is my child, and it's too precious to give up for anything.

On RCB Novus Ordo this week:
The Western Swing Authority are just that; new life breathed into great Western
swing songs along with some originals (title track I spun is one such original);
Prisma presents some brooding rock from Switzerland; Liz Longley has returned with
her latest album.
RCB proper: Segment 1 focused on girls (Shane Cooley, Dan May, Deni Bonet).
The only time I might even spin songs about New Orleans may be Mardi Gras week (Tom
Principato). Segment 2 turns the amps up some. We hear brand new music from British
alt-rockers The Pinz, and the latest from the Providence RI sibling act Vulgarrity.
Segment 3 keeps things country and folk. Something of a 'home' theme in this segment
too. Paul Sachs & Carolann Solebello perform at the Hillside Cafe in Nutley
NJ on February 16. Segment 4: Red Molly & The Steel Wheels are touring in PA
and NY this very weekend before invading Toronto next week. That event is the latest
Folk Alliance International Conference. Chances are that next week's podcast will
contain a lot of music from artists performing at that Conference next week. Aztec
Two Step with a tune that references Indians alongside The Steel Wheels.
