Mary Beth with David East at the Black Rose Acoustic Society in
Black Forest, Co
(Evie Laden and KeithTerry Headliners)
What a week it has been for
the people of Boston, the surrounding communities and Texas! We have been engrossed in
the news, Tweets, and public radio, walking this journey with you.
It has taken me this time to try to get my head around the events of last week, knowing
the healing for so many people will be ongoing.
At last, I am left with a feeling of gratitude
for today and the health and ability to give back something tomorrow.
Musically, things are going
really well with radio play charting number 4 the first week in April and 30th for
the month on APD Americana charts as well maintaining a presence on Americana and
folk and public radio.
question of the month:
What do Pete Seeger, Si Kahn, Jens Kruger and Stephen Lee Rich
have in common?
Musicians United To Protect Bristol Bay www.musiciansunited.org.
For all you salmon lovers, I encourage you to read about this organization, consider
joining their efforts to protect the waters of the Bristol Bay of Alaska, one of
the richest wild fisheries remaining in the world for sockeye salmon. If you
go to the member gallery page, check out the You Tube video of my song
'Land of the Midnight Sun' . I was honored to be asked to have it
included on their site! Thanks Si and Stephen.
In addition we have had some fun local shows the past 2 months.
Jeff and I would like to
thank David East for playing the last several gigs
with me and I look forward to more. He can be seen, and heard, playing
a variety of music with several artists and groups here in the Denver area.
In March we had
a Swallow Hill cafe show with the very talented Anna Leavitt on Cello and Cathey
Stamps on percussion. Both ladies are busy mothers, and musicians.Cathey is a life
coach, and marketing consultant from Nashville, TN now living in my neighborhood!
It really is a small world!
