My friend Harry is a big Duffy fan and that's why I had my new pic taken
- right at the entrance to Warwick Avenue! Especially for Harry. Our daughter just
happens to live nearby so, just as when we walked over to Abbey Road, it was a photo-opportunity
not to be missed! Flip over to youtube and listen to it - and note how she mentions
the word 'tube'. (And rhymes it with Avenue). That's our word for underground!
You are the greatest fans, hoisting me to my first-ever No. 1 in music and a very
long run at No. 2. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Now I just need Simon Cowell
to come a-knocking!
This weekend is huge for me as it is the Puffing Billy 200 Festival. It's nothing
to do with music - check out PB on Wikipedia. I will need to take a break afterwards
to recover from the intense pressure of preparing for this for months. I have been
involved since January - but a friend of mine got the ball rolling 2 years ago when
he realised it was coming up. He's what you could call an enthusiast. But I
can claim to wanting to be a train-driver in my younger years. That never came to
anything but my family have all been involved in coal-mining so I have a huge pull
towards this celebration.
Have a great w/e and hope it's not too Autumnal where you are!
"When you and Harry sing together it reminds me of Crosby Stills and Nash, or
the Mamas and the Papas. Great job, I love your vocal timbre, soothing and inviting.
Nice Job my friend. Did Harry make any HarryMann's pizzas for you?" Kit
Mann, reverbnation artist
