February
2012
Winter has
definitely settled in on us here in MI. After 2 days of 50 degree temps and
rain earlier this week it started snowing and hasn't stopped yet. Which is
good. It's supposed to snow in February, ya know? After last Winter
I admit, I was a little worried about the change in the weather over the last few
years. I'm not saying things are back to normal, or that Global Warming is
ruining our farm cycles (maybe), or that I am upset by the milder temperatures.
All I'm really saying is I want to go sledding!
But first… Most of you would probably recognize
the beautiful young lady by my side playing the violin. That's Clouds.
She's the artist who painted the fabulous cover art to the Saturday Night album.
She's been playing with me for about a year now. It's Clouds birthday
today. We're playing at Schuler Books 28th St in Grand Rapids tonight at 7pm.
We would love to see you!

Schedule TBA
It's kind
of a sweet month. I'm going sledding. I'm playing a new brewery.
I'm doing some traveling. I'm speaking and performing for a group of elementary
students as part of the schools ongoing diversity program. I'll be talking
about my life, where a few of my songs came from, and why music is so important
to me. I'm also hosting the 'Stache Stage at the Jammies again this year.
I'm not performing, since I didn't release an album last year, but I'm glad to be
a part of WYCE and am happy to return as the host of the front room for a second
time. And this year, the Jammies have moved to a Friday. Which is good
for, well, everyone.
Even in the
Winter I'm still traveling and I've been making lots of new friends lately.
Maybe you've been following me for a long time now. Thank you.
Maybe you're new to this list. Welcome! I will send you an update on
or around the first of each month. Unless I'm releasing an album or something
major happens, I'll rarely contact you outside of the newsletter and I'll never,
ever spam you or sell you to the machine. If you wish to unsubscribe, you
may always do so. And if you want to say hi, just reply to this message.
I'm only a click away from you.
Thank you. Be kind.
