Let us all commemorate a this day as a day
celebrating the life of a man who tried in his life to make a statement about human
dignitiy. A man, though imperfect as we all are, was willing to put his
life on the line over and over again until it was taken for the sake of human equality.
This is not a day to debate. What it is, is a day to contemplate where we
are as a nation. As an African American for th second time takes the oath
of President of the United States I pray that we are better at our core, not just
symbolically so. So I say happy Martin Luther King day to
us all.
