Fans,
OK,
for those of you missing a certain band's kickass music, we thought it was high
time for an update on where things are at, where we're going, and bottom line, WHEN
THE HELL you get to hear some kickass music again.
Following our final
Keegan Ales bash (we thank you again for making it so), we divided up our favorite
BC songs, quaffed some whisky, and everyone went away happy.
Jeremy and
Rick then feverishly recruited a powerful new lineup that promises to revamp existing
favorites as well as deliver an onslaught of new and exciting material. In
plain English, the songs are going to kick more ass than you ever thought possible.
Without further ado, it gives us great pleasure to announce the Hudson Valley's
most explosive power rock band, PSYCHIC REVOLUTION:
Mike Jacobs - Screaming Jeremy Hall - Shredding Pete Puglisi - Slapping Rick Stearns - Slamming
(We're a little more diverse than that sounds.)
Mike and Pete
hail from Staatsburg and Wappingers Falls respectively, bringing with them a wealth
of power rock experience, and rest assured you will not be disappointed. Spring
2013 is squarely in our sights for a live action debut. Which brings us to the fun
logistics stuff.
Before year end, we'll take a reckless snapshot of the
Blue Coyote fanlist, to be conveniently channeled into the initial Psychic Revolution
fanlist. (Join, or Die.) If this is getting too scary for you, feel
free to opt out anytime now - we won't stalk or spam. Otherwise, enjoy our
new correspondence and be sure to check out (and "like") Psychic Revolution
on Facebook:

Last but not least, watch this space for the
debut of http://www.psychicrevolutionrocks.com
We are really, really excited and can't wait
to hit the stage. Rock on!
Rick, Jeremy, Mike and Pete
p.s. and don't forget to check out Greg in his illustrious new band, Johnny Thursday
and the Friday Knights!
"Greg Platkin, Jeremy Hall and Rick Stearns are Blue Coyote, a Red Hook band
that has a sound straight from classic rock radio. The band formed in 2004 at a
basement bar and plays a sound straight from the best of the biggest power trios
in rock history: the Jimi Hendrix Experience, ZZ Top, Cream and Rush. " Times Herald-Record
"ARTIST: Blue Coyote
TITLE: “Thrown to the Skull and Bones” (Drunk Moose Records)
In “Death Car,” the first track on Blue Coyote’s new CD, “Thrown
To The Skull and Bones.” the first sound you hear is a revving, roaring engine.
That certainly sets the tone, as the three players Greg Platkin (bass and vocals),
Rick Stearns (drums) and Jeremy Hall (guitar) do a fine job at reviving the timeless
tradition of the rock power trio.
Recorded at Rat Fink Studios, this is an unholy cross between Cream, Mountain, BTO
and Blue Cheer. From the aforementioned “Death Car,” “Dirty, Mean
and Nasty (which is) and the slow grind of “Graveyard Shift,” the threesome
know their way around a song — and their instruments — and play with
uncanny power and passion. Blue Coyote is a biker festival dream band, or just play
the CD and go crazy on your own.
