Rock Over America Magazine Music Awards 2012 |
Happy 2013!!! How is your new year going so far? Hope your
holiday season was filled with fun, family, friends, and funky music - I know mine
was... It was good to hear from, and see so many good friends and fans. Thanks
for your help this past year in getting my CD, Revolution Rhapsody, out there, heard,
talked about, and shared. I feel truly blessed to have been able to have touched
so many with my tunes both lyrically and musically. I could not have gotten
so much done without your help - thank you!
The
reviews, playlists, news, and awards are all posted in our blog (http://www.bushmasterblues.com/blogs/news) - I'd love to hear your thoughts about some of
the posts and/or your opinions of the tunes, performances, music, and/or band in
the comments section of my website - your comments help me shape my performances
and in some cases help spark ideas for songs...
We've got some new performance dates listed now, check out the list
below, bring/tell your friends and we hope to see you at a show soon! Your friend in music, Gary Brown

and – oh yeah! – Funkadelic). Lyrically, Brown seems to be influenced
heavily by hip-hop revolutionaries Chuck D [Public Enemy] and KRS-One [Boogie Down
Productions], adding a much-needed kick in the backside to the very concept of the
blues..." the Impaler, The Impaler Speaks"...a fifteen track
effort that is appealing and confounding, rough cut and poignant, political and
literal. If you like blues, muddy rock or juke joint jive, Bushmaster's the ticket...
