Just a quick shout out to remind y'all in the Portland area that one of my favorite bars, Beaterville, has music again and I'll be playing there this Friday. I've got a couple of people joining me--finger-style blues master Howard Wade (we used to play together in Doc McTear's Medicine Show), and a relative newcomer to the Portland music scene, Jane Kramer. Jane, like me, is from North Carolina, where the good musicians come from (Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Blind Boy Fuller, John Coltrane, Nina Simone...)

Hope to see you there.

" A terrific performer with great songs presented with humor and grace!"  Eric Two Rivers

"Tim claims inspiration from the Piedmont artists like John Jackson, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Blake and Brownie McGhee, with a good bit of affection for Lightnin’ Hopkins and Big Bill Broonzy thrown in. Mighty fine influences to say the least, helping Tim develop a style that runs from traditional blues to modern jazz-influenced themes and Americana."  Greg Johnson, Cascade Blues Association Blues Notes
