Wild Bill and the Lost Knobs
Austin, TX Pop / Country / Alternative Rock
|
Howdy all, We
will not be at Flipnotics this Friday. I heard they had to shut the place
down do to poor speaker placement, what a shame. Could just be a rumor, they
seem to fly around that place. May Jehovah have mercy on their warlock souls!
In the meantime, you can check out our schedule for the coming weekend on
the calendar below. Here is a link to the facebook event wall as well, check
it out. We are playing some really fun shows! https://www.facebook.com/events/625935830766219/?fref=ts Also, the folllowing Thursday,
March 21, we will be playing at Austin's newest venue, the Buzzmill. It's
a super coffee shop and bar with an outdoor venue. Really cool spot. Please
plan on coming to check this place out and see what the rave is all about! For
more info on the Buzzmill: https://www.facebook.com/BuzzmillCoffee?fref=ts I hope you all get some quality
play time in this week, hopefully we'll see you out! I sure got off to an
early start on accident. Does this thing start earlier and earlier each year?
Keep it unofficial,
Sucka! WB
"With Wild Bill, you don’t just get a folky, mellow acoustic guitar show.
At a Wild Bill show, you, as the audience, experience an all-out blast of demented
good times, sordid tales with intriguing finales, extra flourishes and personal
touches that only a tripped-out troubadour like Wild Bill can conjure. All that,
and deviled eggs. You have to see it to believe it." Laurie Gallardo,
KUT radio
"Audience participation, stand-up comedy,
Darth Vader masks: you never quite know what to expect at a Wild Bill show. Flipnotic's
provides the perfect room for Bill and his crew of collaborators – this round
he’s flanked by Griffus P. Spliffus and Amandalin - to present their catalog
to an appreciative audience, one that enjoys the onstage banter just as much as
Bill does (well, maybe). There ain’t a father to his style, folks. The man’s
just a true Austin treasure." Austin Music Weekly
"Sitting down with Wild Bill
is kind of like meeting a virile cross between Jackie Gleason and a surly, pre-Scientology
Beck for coffee and realizing you might have been better off with a beer or two
instead.
