Wild Bill and the Lost Knobs
Pop / Country / Alternative Rock
Thank you to all who came out and supported Honky Tonk Holidaze at the White
Horse this weekend. We had a rowdy good time. We'll be performing it
again this Saturday at the Hole In The Wall. This week the Bluebird Specials
will open at 9 and the play will start at 10. It will be Andrew's birthday,
so come out and help us celebrate that too! Andrew plays bass in the Whiskey
Shivers and plays "Quggly" in the play. Sure to be a fine time.
How many of you will make it all three Holidaze shows? There
could be a special prize if you make this year's "good list", just sayin!
be appearing on KOOP's ReMixed show this Wednesday, December 12, from noon to 1pm.
Listen to me play "meaningful" songs and talk about the play,
and whatever else I want to for a whole hour! Tune in live because there might
just be a chance for you to call in and win some fabulous Wild Bill merchandise!
And if you get this today (Tuesday) come out to Antone's and see the last Whiskey
Shivers variety show! This week is sure to please with The Bluebird Specials
(Jackie plays Chirstian in HTH this Saturday!), Hello Wheels, Wild Child,
Sam Hadfield (plays Judge in Honky Tonk Holidaze), and The Whiskey Shivers. Also,
comedian Katie Pengra takes on the savage music hungry crowd!
You can read more about the
musical here. THIS SATURDAY, HOLE IN THE WALL, 8 pm
"Everybody in this town's a songwriter: your bartender, your boyfriend, your
banker. Ogden is, too, but in the context of Wild Bill, everybody else sounds the
same." Chase Hoffberger, Austin Chronicle
"With Wild Bill, you don’t
just get a folky, mellow acoustic guitar show. At a Wild Bill show, you, as the
audience, experience an all-out blast of demented good times, sordid tales with
intriguing finales, extra flourishes and personal touches that only a tripped-out
troubadour like Wild Bill can conjure. All that, and deviled eggs. You have to see
it to believe it." Laurie Gallardo, KUT radio
"Sitting down with Wild Bill is kind
of like meeting a virile cross between Jackie Gleason and a surly, pre-Scientology
Beck for coffee and realizing you might have been better off with a beer or two
" Ed Kiaune, Austin City Sphere
