Greetings one and all, near and far!
I'm excited about this opportunity to perform in Nick Mancini's concert series: "Elastic Hour @ Curve Line"! Curve Line Space is a lovely art gallery & performance space. As many of you know, I had the opportunity to premiere a new work titled 'The Love Suite' at a festival last fall. And, once again, I've been occupied with the 3 R's - writing, 'rranging, and refining - in preparation for this concert. A theme I'm exploring presently is 'Heart Opening'. I hope you can join us for this special event! Also, a reminder: the US will begin observing Daylight Savings Time at 2:00am on Sun Mar 10, 2013.
Here's to springing forward!
Yours in song,
Manisha

About the project:
The Bridging Hemispheres Project is a musical exploration of the different ways in which we can unite halves and opposites in order to form a whole. Alt-world songstress and composer Manisha Shahane (Sha-hah-nay) is bridging hemispheres on multiple levels with her original songs and arrangements inspired by contemporary jazz, classical, and folk influences. Based in Los Angeles, Manisha released her second album - When Parallel Lines Meet – in 2010. Her musical collage draws on her roots in southern Virginia, her East Indian heritage, and other traditions, resulting in “music of this universe.”
