Good morning , Happy Monday and I hope that this is a start
to a great week for you. There are quite a number of things happening in the coming month/months
with me and my group, along with some new happenings in Sacramento. First, the photos from my recent photo shoot
are in and now it's time to select the front and back covers and get ready to take
those to Unisette and let Shauna work her magic. There is still time to be
a part of the acknowledgement liner notes. All who pre-purchase or donate
on http://www.feedthemuse.net/vivianlee or purchase by check to Vivian Lee, 4706 Acclaro
Ct, Antelope, Ca 95843 will be acknowledged in the thank-you liner notes for your
support in making My Heroes Have Always Been Singers happen. The photos and
proposed art work will be going to Unisette within the next two weeks. Don't
forget that 10% of what is left after the project is completed and 10% of all CD
sales after release will be donated to Breast Cancer Research Foundation in memory
of Anne Patricia Gipson, my mother, who passed away from this dreaded disease. The new Red Lion Hotel (formerly the Radisson
Hotel) is starting a new venture beginning February 9 and every Saturday evening
after. The Lakeside Room, the restaurant inside of the Red Lion Hotel, 500
Leisure Lane, Sacramento, wants to become the destination place for friends to meet
for drink or appetizers, couples to come for dinner (date night) and a where you
can step back in time to a place where supperclubs with live music and a dance floor
to enjoy between courses, were the order of the day. With large windows that
look out to hotel's centerpiece (the lake that whose fountain is
a glow of lights in the evening) the room offers a glamorous and elegant experience.
Chef Roger is offering a wonderful feast every week consisting of a pre-fixe
menu of three to four entrees as a sumptuous three course meal. There are
ten groups already lined up to entertain you from 7-10pm every Saturday night.
The Vivian Lee Quartet will kick things off on February 9. You can go to http://www.reverbnation.com/venue/lakesideroom for a full lineup, description and phone number
for reservations. February is Black History Month and the Sacramento Downtown Library
will present and evening of jazz on Wednesday February 20, 6:30-8pm. The Vivian
Lee Quartet with Ron Foggia on piano, Paul Klempau on bass, Jeff Minnieweather on
drums and vocalist Vivian Lee will present "Here's To The Ladies: Carmen, Billie,
