PRESS

"MacKelcan's previous album No Turning Back picked up steam last year with heavy radio play and several high-profile tours. He will release a new six-song EP titled Slow Down this weekend at a CD release party at the Windjammer. Produced by Aaron Tap, best known as pop-rock songwriter Matt Nathanson's guitarist, it's a fine effort."  Jared Booth, Charleston City Paper

"Matt Mackelcan puts his heart into his writing and his stage show to the point that when listeners or audience members are exposed to it they connect and become instant fans"  Mike Allen, Program Director-WCOO 105.5 The Bridge

"Behind his cheerful, laid-back manner, Matt MacKelcan is a serious guy, most concerned about writing solid rock songs, performing well on stage and getting out there—way out there...(with his) melodic modern folk-pop style.”   Ballard Leesman, Charleston City Paper, June 2009
