Brother Howe
Holland, MI Rock / Country / Punk
|
Tonight we will be at the re-knowned Tip Top Deluxe Bar and
Grill - it's a great place, decorated with a distinctly Americana vibe and they've
been host to a lot of great rockabilly and roots rock musicians (plus they have
pinball machines and a killer jukebox!). They now offer
food, so join us for dinner there around 7pm and we can hang out before the show.
Otherwise get there by 9pm. And don't forget Sara Q and the Chupracobras
will be there as well, which you won't want to miss. Great bands. READ

"...suits and telecasters mixed with upbeat rock and roll. They make music that
requires you to drink beer and put on your music fan hat – with a wink to
the fifties country aesthetic and a nod to the guitar/bass/drums format of rock
n’ roll throughout the decades" Ryan Cunningham, Recoil Magazine
"The twang of Brother Howe falls
somewhere between Social Distortion, Hank Williams and Reverend Horton Heat. Band
members...mix originals with lickety-split cover renditions of tunes such as Weezer’s
“Undone (The Sweater Song)” and Williams’ “Long Gone Lonesome
Blues.” All in all, a dandy cowpunk debut." John Sinkevics, Spins On Music
"“The band also tackles
Weezer’s “Undone (The Sweater Song)” and breathes a little new
life into the song as it is reborn as a punkish-country number. The band of course
tips its cap to outlaw country legends such as Johnny Cash frequently...at times
sounding like a slower version of Reverend Horton Heat.” - vocalsontop.com
