Hi there friends, family and fans~ we hope 2013 is treating everyone well so far :-)

At last, the Snakehandlers' newest release ROCKABILLY PLAYGROUND will be released mid-March on Dionysus Records! ROCKABILLY PLAYGROUND is a rockabilly roots album meant for the kids- that’s for actual children as well as the tykes inside each and every one of us so-called grown-ups. Written and recorded with mature instrumentation and musicianship to appeal to rockabilly roots lovers of all ages, the song lyrics focus on topics near and dear to all kids’ hearts. Songs about naptime, homework, why we have to follow rules, super best friends, and more fun fill every song with childish glee. Whether a child or still a child-at-heart, you’ll find these songs as rousing and toe-tapping as the next 7-year old does.

 


Those of you who helped us raise funds for this CD/Vinyl release will be receiving your thank you packages the first week of March. That includes Snakehandlers activity books and more! Otherwise, tell all your friends to run! Don't walk! To pick up this release at record stores near you. In other news, Ruby Dee and the Snakehandlers will be heading back across the pond this March and April to our favorite old stomping grounds around Belgium & Holland, with a few shows across Germany and Sweden for good measure. Meanwhile, we'll be playing a few select shows here at home in Austin during SXSW. Check out our schedule for details. And after we return home from Europe, that's when we'll host a ROCKABILLY PLAYGROUND record release shindig- at Doc's Backyard on Brodie Saturday April 13th. So kids, bring your parents to that show and we'll have a rockin' rousing great time!
