Tomorrow night is your chance to come hear "The Raven" set to human beatbox.  Have you heard Kid Lucky?  You have to hear Kid Lucky, he's a beatboxing virtuoso.  I'm hosting (and rapping) the Hip Hop Book Club with him tomorrow.  Have you seen the Hip Hop Book Club?  You have to see the Hip Hop Book Club.  It's all hip hop inspired by a different work of literature every month.  Tomorrow's show is inspired entirely by the works of Edgar Allen Poe.  Have you read Edgar Allen Poe?  You have to read Edgar Allen Poe...

October 24th, 7pm, The Hip Hop Book Club presents the work of Edgar Allen Poe at Nuyorican Poets Cafe in the East Village.  Beatboxer, emcee Kid Lucky and Bushwick Book Club founder, Susan Hwang, host and curate this literature-inspired, all hip hop event with performers including Arjun Gupta (from TV's "Nurse Jackie"),  D-Cross, Tomasia Got-Flow, Spiritchild, Atlas, Susannah Pryce, Adventures of Kaila & The Kid and Mia Pixley w/ Susan Hwang interpreting Edgar Allen Poe through hip hop.

Dust off that old raven costume or come in your most House of Usher shoes.  Performers will all be in their Poe-est garb.  Audience costumes are optional, but highly encouraged.
