Friends and music lovers,

 

I've been working hard on a benefit concert at Milkboy Philadelphia this Thursday, December 6th to raise funding for people displaced by Hurricane Sandy. The concert, “Philadelphia Cares” will feature a reunion of my full band "Christie Lenée Project" as heard on the "Give and Take In" EP, in addition to solo acoustic performances that will be heard on the upcoming instrumental album.  This show will open on Thursday at 8pm with acoustic extraordinaire "Trevor Gordon Hall," followed by the sweet vocal harmonies of “No Good Sister," the electrifying guitar stylings of "Brian LaPann," and a special appearance by singer/songwriter "Casey Alvarez." All proceeds will be distributed by the Community Rocks Organization in New Jersey to help replenish supplies in schools that were affected by the storm. In addition, we will be collecting small items to include in goodie bags for kids such as warm socks, hats, gloves, toothpaste, toothbrushes, snuggle bears, etc to distribute to kids in New Jersey Schools. 

 

Community Rocks New Jersey is in partnership with Rebuild Our Shore (in Tom's River), Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Fairfiew Village Community Center and the Camden Rescue.  They have comprised a list of needs for over 21 shelters, relief centers, and churches throughout New Jersey while taking weekly trips to distribute items.  Please take a moment to read more about the Hurricane Donations needed.  Your attendance to this show and contributions will be more than appreciated!  Also, this is my LAST PHILLY SHOW OF THE YEAR and it is an honor to put it towards this great cause.
