The Epstein

 Dear Folks,

A warm hearted 'Goodmorning' to you all from Oxford Town where the summer is upon us (at last ) and where i am recovering from a great evening at Truck Festival last night. The Low Anthem were a massive highlight for me... I had been wanting to hear see them for a long time and they did not dissapoint.

We have a few shows coming up in Holland and Belgium and it would be wonderful to see you all at them:

Sat 28th July - La Truite D'Argent - Houffalize, Belgium - A wonderful venue deep in the Ardennes....

Sunday 29th July - De Parade Festival - Utrecht, Holland - A first visit to Utrecht for us.

Friday 17th August - Norderstaad Festival - Groningen, Holland - A return to Groningen...

Saturday 18th August - De Parade Festival - Amsterdam, Holland - Hollands best travelling festival....

We are also thrilled to annonce that we will be working with the highly respected label PIAS in Europe and they will be releasing a couple of singles in Benelux this Autumn and following those up with our full album. We are hugely excited to be working with these guys and hope that it will lead to many more trips over in the months ahead. We will have full details of release dates very soon so keep an eye on the website for more details.

Finally, do check out an interview with Olly which was published recently on the Oxford Music Blog. He talks all about the lyrics and lyricists that have inspired him over the years....

That's all for now. Enjoy the sun, enjoy the summer and see you soon!

"There’s always been a widescreen feel about The Epstein but lately Olly Wills’ songs and voice have moved from the campfire and the porch to encompass the entire horizon... This is, as The Waterboys might once have descibed, The Big Music. As long as The Epstein’s tunes can keep up with the expansion in sound, they’ll soon develop their own gravity fields. "  — Nightshift Magazine, UK
"The true strength of the band is in the quality of the songs, and these are played with conviction and a feeling for proportion. I don’t doubt that The Epstein will be bigger in the near future, so do yourselves a favour and approach them this year."  — Plato Reviews, Netherlands
"The Epstein were winners of the Roepaen Festival... the audience experience pure bliss and the irresistible groove makes them explode with enthusiasm. It’s a show that will be long remembered. Track of the Year 2011 - Calling Out Your Name "  — Rocktimes Online, Germany
