Hi Folks,
I hope everyone enjoyed Thanksgiving!
If you’re free tonight, I’ll be out at
the very chic, little Cave a Vin in New Haven, CT
celebrating the close of November, and life in general with a little wine and conversation,
and a whole lot of songs.
Saturday night, December 1st,
it’s up to Portland, Maine’s most intimate listening
room, Blue, to start
the holiday roots tour.
On December 15th I’ll be making my Providence,
RI debut at the Brooklyn Café, in a musical showcase with songwriter/host
Steve Allain. Steve is a great songwriter
and a great guy. We’ve randomly run into each other far from our homes, several
times over the last years since we’ve met, and he was kind enough to invite
me to play in his hometown series. He’s put together a night of excellent
acts which I highly recommend.
Tuesday morning, December 11th,
I’ll be playing throughout the world (via the web) as a guest of Alison Kaufman’s
‘Morning Mojo’ Show, on New London’s WCNI. Her show is a mix of blues, rock, Americana, soul,
& jam music, with a theme song of “Mojo Workin’”. She’s
asked me to work up a version, and I’m happy to oblige. I hope you can tune
in (let me know if you’d like a personal reminder that day – for this
or any other show).
Of course I’ll be hitting all the favorite spots too (Whitfield’s, Smokin’ with Chris, Bill’s, etc… ) and spreading the holiday
cheer, holiday songs, and of course my normal mixed bag of Americana.
December 29th
will bring the Wandering Roots “Home” Tour 2012 to a close with a bang.
Please join the Wandering Roots Trio, featuring Jim McKeeman &
Nick Longo for our/my final show of the year (Details below). We plan to leave everything on the floor. I hope you can be
there!
It’s been a great year so far, but the best is
still to come. I hope to see you all out there soon!
Peace,
Shawn
