Dan and Faith
Folk / Singer/Songwriter / Dream-Inspired Folk
Wow, it's December already! 2013 has been a busy year for us. We've
both been doing a lot of songwriting this year, which is always a good thing. Lots
of opportunities to play, even more opportunities to play with others. And
the year is not yet done!
The musical month starts with the Harvest Cafe Songwriters-in-the-Round
at the Harvest Cafe in Hudson,
MA on Wednesday, December 11th. This month we are
joined by Sam Bayer, Junko Ogawa and Terry Kitchen.
Our December songwriting prompt, chosen by last month's audience, is "Change".
Music starts at 7:30pm. We are grateful to our co-sponsors,
the Harvest Cafe and the Rhode Island Songwriters Association,
for the opportunity to bring all these wonderful songwriters to you. Come
have a delicious dinner, enjoy some amazing original music, and help us choose the
songwriting prompt for next month!
Our next Still River Concert Series
house concert brings Cliff Eberhardt to
our living room in Bolton MA on Saturday, December 14th.
The day starts with a songwriting workshop at noon, and ends
with a concert at 8pm. We'll be opening for Cliff in
the evening concert. For all you songwriters out there, Cliff's songwriting
workshop is a great way to help you figure out how to lift a new song
to a higher level. And his concerts are just fun! We expect both the
workshop and the concert to fill quickly, so contact us ASAP for more details and
to reserve a seat.
Join us at the Bolton Public Library
Unplugged open mike in Bolton, MA on Tuesday,
December 17th. All genres of music and spoken word welcome!
We do a 2-song formal first round, then we pull the chairs in a circle and jam until
we run out of songs, wear out our fingers, or the cleaning crew tosses us out.
Got a new holiday song? a winter poem? or just want to sit back
and listen to some wonderful local talent? Music starts at 7:30pm.
A keyboard is available for piano players.
We close out our musical year with a session at Acoustic Java in Worcester,
MA on Friday, December 20th. We'll be playing
from 12:15-1:15pm. Acoustic Java has a fantastic assortment
of coffees and teas, yummy sandwiches and baked goods. They're right near
the Clark University campus. If you're in the area and want a tasty lunch
with musical accompaniment, stop by!
This month we offer one of Dan's newest songs, Falling Into Autumn Leaves.
Childhood memories of the big old maple tree in the front yard, and playing
in the massive pile of leaves with his brother, were the inspiration for this one.
We put together a demo recording in our home studio. You can hear it
Our EP, Live At Roslindale and studio CD, Dreaming
of Another Path, are available from us at our shows, or you can find
them both at CD Baby or iTunes. And our next studio CD is coming
along nicely! We can't wait to share it with you.
As always, you can find additional schedule information on our website, http://www.danandfaith.com. For more frequent news
updates and information, check out our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter (@danandfaith).
Thank you to all who have come to see us, and who have supported us throughout the
year! We look forward to playing for you in 2014.

"In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings, the lyrics of Daniel Senie's
song, "Simple Grace," strike a poignant chord. The raw emotions of fear and pain
are balanced by hope in the very first verse: "We come in fear, we come in pain,
Shed many tears, like falling rain, But through it all, it's clear to see, The light
of love will set us free."
" Barbara Allen, Wicked Local Bolton, GateHouse Media New England
"It is always an
awesome day when Dan & Faith play at the café, with their wonderful and
eclectic mix of haunting original melodies and echoes of Johnny Cash and Emmy Lou
Harris..." DF, Acoustic Java
"Musicians Daniel and Faith Senie,
of Bolton, contributed the song, “Simple Grace,” to the Boston Strong
compilation to benefit the One Fund in Boston." The Item
