Hey There........
Hope
your February is off to a terrific start!!! If you live in Atlanta, I have
a show tomorrow night at Steve's Live Music in Sandy Springs. It is an "In
The Round" with Brian Wiltsey and Josh Hardy from 8-10. I've never done
one of these so I am really excited.
I've
been crazy busy. I've been invited to open for this really great band in Atlanta
called The Rockaholics, and it has been just so much fun. As you know I have
focused mostly on originals, and this has motivated me to learn more covers. I
get so excited when I get one down!!! :0) I also have been doing some
solo shows of my originals, and been running an Open Mic in Sandy Springs
for Steve's Live Music. Steve has been doing some really incredible things
for music and musicians in Atlanta, and it has just been a REAL honor to work for
him. The talent has been mind blowing and just last night we had some musicians
arrive that you have heard on the radio all over the world. They just showed
up and sang a few songs, and we all just sat there in shock. My goal was to
make it a place for people to come practice there songs and craft before they perform.....
or if you are a newer songwriter...... to get a chance to really learn
from some artists that are more established...... I think it is happening....
YAAAYYY!!!
Lastly, I
have been painting. I am about to hybernate starting Thursday and create some
serious masterpieces... at least that's the plan :0). Truly praying the painting
moves through me in a grand way!!! I'm going to attach some of my latest ones.
I use animals to represent people, and next month I plan on writing a blog
to explain why!!! If you live in Atlanta, I hope to see you tomorrow night
at Steve's....... And for everyone who is getting this.......... I hope
your year is off to a terrific start!!! Thank you for reading my updates and
supporting me. Seriously can't tell you how much that means to me. Last
month I got some messages back after my update with such positive, kind, uplifting
words and it honestly made me cry some GIANT HAPPY tears. The older I get,
the more I just can't believe the beautiful spirits that live on this planet, and
I am just so grateful for all that touch my heart!!!
